This process is for perceptive and curious individuals who may have had experiences with generational and family trauma, complex PTSD, grief and loss, anxiety, relational or societal stress, expatriate or cultural adaptation issues, depression, relationship challenges, parenting challenges, and spiritual or existential questioning. Both Depth and Analytic Psychology addresses how our unconscious thoughts and feelings inform our proclivities, actions, and behaviors. Therefore, our work together is to illuminate your unique point of view and understand how your experiences may have shaped or impacted your perspective. As we cultivate greater understanding and compassion for ourselves it naturally shifts how we are relating to the world around us. My approach is non-pathologizing, relational and affirming. Through this work a more integrated and confident self will emerge.

A Jungian/Depth framework considers that psyche possesses an inherent drive towards balance and wholeness and holds an innate desire for health. We recognize the wisdom of each person and believe that through a trusting therapeutic relationship any individual can develop their most authentic Self and enhance their creativity and communication. This relational process facilitates the emerging of unconscious thoughts, behaviors, and patterns to allow for their integration into consciousness. Thus, this process supports individuals, adolescents, couples and families through a variety of challenges;
Under the current law Licensed Psychotherapists are not allowed to offer testimonials on their websites. And while some psychotherapists still do, my boundaries around both legality and confidentiality have made me wary to jump on the bandwagon.
Absolutely. My practice is BIPOC & LGBTQIA safe and I work with clients of all Gender Expressions. Our need for witnessing, compassionate care and unconditional support in life is universal and our identity and our lived experience holds tremendous significance. My personal background and trainings are inclusive.
I offer consultancy oriented sessions and process work for clients on Zoom for All International Time Zones. In person LPC sessions are in my office in Boulder, Colorado or remote via Zoom.
Individual therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes long while couple or family sessions are generally a minimum of two hours. The length of each session may vary depending on the needs of the client as significant grief tends to be about 1.5 hours. We clarify your scheduling needs and set our rate during our consultation and prior to our first session. I prefer to schedule individual clients weekly for depth-oriented work, but couples and families will often schedule bi-weekly depending on their needs.
Student discounts, international rates, sliding scale and pro-bono rates are offered, discussed and clarified prior to our first session.
Current session prices for US dollars:
Individual Sessions: $175
Couples & Families: $275
Fees and time allotment are discussed prior to our first session.
A pre-paid commitment or installment plans can alter rates.
Let's have a conversation about it- I offer a complimentary 20 minute consult to answer any of your questions.
I believe that access to mental health support should be fair and equitable, so I always offer significant sliding scale or pro bono to those who are in need. At this time I cannot accept insurance, but I am very happy to provide a Superbill to clients for their insurance reimbursement. Prior to our first session we will discuss your needs and set our agreed upon rate and form of payment. I accept cash, bank transfer, Paypal (for international ) & Venmo.
My list would be long and varied, but Dr. Gabor Mate's The Myth of Normal and Dr. Susan David's Emotional Agility are books that have been recently impactful. I am now reading Quantum Revelation by Paul Levy and Jean Houston which is excellent thus far. Some of the authors and writers that I admire are Mark Epstein, Sharon Blackie, Peter Levine, Michael Pollan, John & Julie Gottmann, Nicole Lepera, Joan Halifax, Frank Ostseski, Alice Miller, Esther Perel, Marion Woodman, James Hollis, Alan Watts, Robert Johnson, and Carl Jung. That said, I have a wonderful library of poetry, fiction, philosophy, and psychology and am always ready to give or receive a book recommendation.
While I have always been passionate about psychology and understanding human development, there was an episode of This American Life that profoundly impacted me and my approach to this work. I was in my traineeship at the time when it originally aired on September 15th, 2006, and the episode is titled Unconditional Love.
